Speaking

Our founder, Scott Seely, is a well known speaker in the Midwest. His favorite topics include:

  • Windows Communication Foundation. As a former member of the WCF team from 2002-2006, Scott is incredibly proud of the work done on WCF and loves speaking on the many aspects of this vast library.
  • RESTful Services. A firm believer in the benefits of Hypermedia As The Engine of Application State (HATEOAS), Scott can explain why to use HATEOAS and when to relax the standard for The URL is King (TUK). He can also speak on the many different parts of the .NET stack each enable RESTful services: ASP.NET, MVC, and WCF.
  • Debugging Applications. The average developer does not invest enough time in learning how to use the tools already in Visual Studio much less tools like WinDBG, SysInternals, and those from companies like Red-Gate.
  • Performance Analysis. I'll explain why, what, and how to measure your applications in order to decide what needs to be improved and ignore what doesn't really matter.

If you have any other topic of interest, we will gladly find a speaker from our vast network of associates or, if needed, learn and present on the topic of interest ourselves. We can provide training, whitepapers, and other materials when a client desires and when it is appropriate.
